As well as educational meetings, the Palmvale Landcare have organised several working bees. Our regular working bees are every 3 rd Sunday of the month. Locals keep a look out for the sign. The working bees so far have been to eradicate weeds such as Singapore Daisy and Camphor Laurels.
Big Scrub Landcare Group's launch of the publication "Subtropical Rainforest Restoration" - a practical manual and data source for Landcare Groups". is on Saturday 23rd (see page 7 of the Newsletter) Sounds like a great day and this book would be good for our group to purchase!
First Aid , Steve & Yvonne Rose are going to do the St Johns Ambulance First Aid course being run by Belinda McKinnon in Murwillumbah for the weekend 30 & 31st July there is a cost pp if your interested or know of anyone else who is interested in doing a first aid course-ph Yvonne 66777154.
Planning to have a couple of friends who are brilliant wildlife spotters come and give us a night time survey of possums / and birds, owls etc. This information collected about whats here at night will add an extra dimension of info to the Management Plan. Also we need to have all the bird lists etc in asap. More info to come
